Lead applicant must be based in a low- or middle-income country (World Bank classification). Early-career and established researchers are welcome. Multidisciplinary teams are encouraged. One application per lead applicant.
Health economics research relevant to LMIC settings, including economic evaluation of interventions or policies, cost-effectiveness or cost-utility analysis, health financing, priority setting, equity, affordability, access, and translation of economic evidence into policy or practice.
Proposals must describe the application and
background of the research, the nature and objectives, study design and economic methods, data sources
and analytical approach, cost-effectiveness and value-for-money implications, and expected outputs with
systems or policy impact. References are excluded from the word count.

A separate one-page budget must be submitted, including itemised costs with brief justification. Budgets should align with the proposed methods and demonstrate value for money.
Methodological quality, relevance to LMIC health systems, strength of economic analysis, feasibility within budget and timeline, and potential for policy translation and real-world impact.
Applications must be submitted as a single PDF containing the proposal (≤1,000 words) and one-page budget. Application deadline: 30 April. Late or non-compliant submissions will not be considered.
